EPA Administrator: Global Warming Affects Everything and Everyone We Love

Not only does global warming affect “everything and everyone we love,” it also affects our ability to earn a decent living, according to EPA administrator Gina McCarthy who’s been in the news quite frequently of late ever since her agency oversaw the making of a giant mess out in Colorado. She’s devoted most of her recent coverage to global warming. I’m a little surprised she hasn’t come out and blamed the whole abandoned gold mine toxic sludge thing on global warming. Maybe that’s coming next. From CNS News:

“Climate change is one of the most important issues that we face. It is a global challenge, but in many ways it’s also very personal to all of us, because it affects everything and everyone we love,” McCarthy said. “It affects our kids, our communities, even our ability to earn a decent living.”

McCarthy was speaking at the Resources for the Future think tank in Washington, D.C., where she lauded the Clean Power Plan, the new federal rule to regulate carbon emissions from U.S. power plants.

She did not expand on how climate change affects people’s ability to earn a living, but according to the American Action Forum, the Clean Power Plan will mean thousands of people losing their jobs.

According to research done by the policy institute, the regulation would result in the shuttering of 66 coal plants and the loss of 125,800 jobs.

Manmade global warming only exists in the minds of liberals. It doesn’t exist out in reality. But because they believe in it – or at least they pretend as if they do – it absolutely will have an impact on everyone’s ability to earn a decent living. Forcing coal and natural gas power plants to close under the guise of protecting the environment and children will cause many people to lose their jobs. Those lost jobs will be the result not of the actual global climate or anything scientific, but of politics. Consider this from the Washington Free Beacon:

The CEO and Board of Directors of Solazyme, a company the military paid $149 per gallon for “alternative” fuel, have donated more than $300,000 to Democratic candidates and committees, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

Recipients of significant donations included the Obama Victory Fund and the Democratic National Committee. Additionally, Solazyme donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

A Congressional Research Service (CRS) report found that the Department of Defense (DOD) paid Solazyme $149 per gallon for fuel made of algal oil, costing taxpayers a total of $223,500 in 2009. The group also received a $21 million stimulus grant from Department of Energy in 2009.

That is what the idea of manmade global warming is all about. This company Solazyme got $21 million in federal grant money from the Obama administration. They, in turn, donated to Democrats and liberal causes. And Solazyme got the military to buy their green product for $149 a gallon.

I’m all for alternative energy, whether it’s green or purple. If it’s cleaner, more efficient and cheaper than what we’ve got now, then we should be able to access it. But not something that’s $149 a gallon. Unless that’s supposed to last a long time.

Manmade global warming is about politicians investing in the green industry, and those politicians making sure they get a nice, hefty return on their investment.
